Bus & Tractor Driver – ADET Chisamba
This position exists to provide safe, reliable, and timely transportation services and to execute tractor‑driven field operations in support of ADET training, operational, and logistical activities. The role ensures that all assigned vehicles are roadworthy, field‑fit, legally compliant, and safely operated, contributing to a safe working environment, uninterrupted ADET operations, and full compliance with JTI EHS and road traffic requirements.

Position
As the Bus & Tractor Driver, you will
Tractor & Field Operations
Carrying out tractor‑driven field operations as assigned by the ADET Site Supervisor, ensuring efficient, safe, and correct execution of tasks.
Transportation & Logistics
Timely and safe transportation of workers to and from Chisamba for ADET work and official duties.
Carrying out authorized errands outside ADET as required by management.
Vehicle Care & Maintenance
Ensuring the bus and tractor are always roadworthy and field‑fit.
Keeping vehicles clean and in good operating condition at all times.
Conducting routine pre‑use checks and immediately reporting defects or abnormalities.
Compliance & EHS
Ensuring all road traffic requirements (Road Tax, Insurance, Certificate of Fitness) are valid and up to date.
Ensuring all vehicle defects, incidents, and near misses are reported promptly in line with EHS procedures.
Complying fully with JTI EHS standards, road safety regulations, and internal policies.
Requirements
Minimum – School Leaving Certificate.
5 years proven experience in bus driving and/or tractor operation, preferably in an agricultural or institutional environment.
Valid driver’s license for bus and tractor operation
Knowledge of road traffic rules and safe driving practices
Basic vehicle maintenance and fault identification skills
Good spoken and written English, including Nyanja, Bemba & Lozi
